Dalmatians are among the most recognizable of dog breeds, largely because these
black and white dogs are associated with riding on fire engines and with the
popular Disney movie 101 Dalmatians. With their muscular bodies and
clean lines, these medium sized dogs will weight around 55 pounds when full
grown.

hearing, as over 10% of Dalmatians suffer from this problem. Dalmatians had
long been bred to run alongside or under horse-drawn carriages. Therefore, they
tend to have a great deal of energy and stamina and do not like to sit around.
As such, they are very playful and happy go lucky. They also tend to be very
loyal and sensitive, needing the companionship of a human in order to avoid
becoming depressed.
