| I have a bulldog just under a year old and I was considering breeding her in the future. How old does she have to be to have puppies and are there other precautions I need to take. Any and all info appreciated.

| wait till at least 18 months and preferrably 24 months before breeding. look up what are common ailements in your breed and check your dog to make sure she is healthy. at very least do OFA of her hips to check for dysplacia. visit www.offa.org to read up on it. make sure you have money saved up for possible emergencies such as a c-section. be pateient in looking for a compatible and healthy stud.and remember, breeding is a responsibility. to your dog, to her health and the future of the pups resulting.
