About the Jack Russell Terrier
Jack Russell Terriers, named after their creator, Reverend John Russell from Devon, England, are spirited and energetic dogs. These small terriers come in three coat types: smooth, broken, and rough, all of which tend to shed. With their compact, muscular bodies and longer legs, they excel at pursuing prey on foot. Interestingly, the Jack Russell was the first dog to travel to both the north and south poles, and despite the American Kennel Club officially changing their name to the Parson Russell Terrier in 2003, most people still refer to them as Jack Russells.
