About the White Swiss Shepherd
The White Swiss Shepherd, also known as the Berger Blanc Suisse, is a purebred herding dog that often gets mistaken for an albino or white German Shepherd. However, it’s a separate breed developed in Switzerland during the 19th century. These intelligent and adaptable dogs make excellent family companions, with their friendly nature and unique coat. They descend from North American White Shepherds imported to Switzerland, which in turn originated from white-colored purebred German Shepherds. Learn more
